Mussoorie - Rishikesh - Corbett - Nainital
Day1: Arrive Dehradun Railway Station & Drive to Mussoorie (2 hrs.)
Upon your arrival at Dehradun, you will be picked up and proceed towards the enchanting hill station of Mussoorie. Nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas, Mussoorie is often referred to as the Queen of the Hills. The town gets its name from the abundance of shrubmansoor plants found in the region. Mussoorie is renowned for its lush green hills, diverse flora and fauna, and breathtaking views of the Shivalik ranges and Doon Valley. After reaching Mussoorie, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Check in and take some time to relax; the rest of the day is at your leisure. Mussoorie is not only known for its scenic beauty but has also evolved into a significant center for education and business. The town is home to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, where officers are trained for the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service. Day 2: Mussoorie Local Sight Seeing
After Breakfast, visit Kempty fall, Gun hill, Company Garden, Mall road etc. Lal Tibba: This is the highest point in Mussoorie, situated in the " Landour " area. Which is known to be the oldest inhabited place of Mussoorie Gun Hill: Gun Hill is the second-highest point in Mussoorie. It is also known as a picnic spot for the locals. From this point, Mussoorie appears to be changing colours every minute. It looks impressive from here. Municipal Garden: This is also known as the Botanical Gardens of Mussoorie and was established by geologist Dr H.Fackner in the last century. Kempty Fall: Kempty fall is just 12 kms down from Mussoorie on Mussoorie - Dehradun midway; the beautiful falls were declared a tourist destination by John Mekinan after 1835. Kempty is derived from 'Camp - tea', as the Britishers would organise their tea parties here. Past Kempty Fall, 12 - km downhill. Day 3: Mussoorie to Rishikesh (3hrs.)
After a fulfilling breakfast, it's time to check out from the hotel and embark on a road journey to Rishikesh. Rishikesh, named after the God Hrishikesh, is a significant spiritual destination and the starting point of the Holy Chardham yatra. Legend has it that the appearance of Lord Hrishikesh is in response to the penances performed by Rabhiya Rishi. This town, situated on the banks of the sacred Ganga River, is not only a haven for devotees but also draws yoga enthusiasts and adventurers alike. Upon reaching Rishikesh, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in and take some time to relax; the rest of the day is at your leisure. Rishikesh, with its serene ambiance and spiritual significance, is a magnet for pilgrims, attracting thousands of devotees from India and abroad. Later in the day, venture out for sightseeing, including landmarks like Laxman Jhula, Gita Bhavan, and more. Immerse yourself in the spiritual and cultural richness of the town. Day 4: Rishikesh to Corbett (3hrs.)
Following breakfast, it's time to check out from the hotel and embark on a road journey to Corbett. Corbett National Park, situated at Ramnagar in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, is a promising haven for a diverse range of world species. Nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas and Shivalik ranges, Corbett National Park is renowned as the perfect tiger's land. Established in 1936, it holds the distinction of being India's first notified wildlife sanctuary and national park, providing a unique opportunity to witness a significant tiger population in its natural habitat. Corbett National Park remains open from mid-November to mid-June. The park is closed during the monsoon season when most roads are affected by heavy rains. After the monsoon, repair work begins, and by November, the roads are back in optimal conditions. Upon reaching Corbett, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Take in the natural beauty and tranquility of the surroundings. Day 5: Corbett to Nainital (3hrs.) + Morning Jeep Safari
Morning 5.00 AM Corbett Jeep Safari And After checkout from Corbett we drive to Nainital. Nainital : is referred to as the lake of three sages, or the Tri Rishi Sarovar as mentioned in the Manas Khand chapter of the Skanda Purana. As recorded in history, the three sages, Atri, Pulastya, and Pulaha stopped over at Nainital on their pilgrimage, to quench their thirst. Finding no water, they dug a hole and transferred some water into it to from the sacred lake of Tibet, Mansarovar. Thus the famous lake of Nainital came into existence. Another legend has it that the left eye or Nain of Lord Shiva’s wife Sati fell in this center and formed an emerald eye shaped lake, and thus emerged the city of Nainital.Recent history records reveal that Nainital was brought into limelight by P. Barron, a British sugar merchant, in 1839. The beauty of Nainital with the central lake cushioned among the forests attracted this person to build a house named Pilgrim’s Cottage and settle in Nainital. Arrive at Nainital, transfer to hotel, Check in to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Evening you will walk to Naini Lake and Mall road. Day 6: Nainital Local SightSeeing
After a delicious breakfast, the entire day is yours to explore the captivating hill retreat of Nainital. Take a lakes tour, including visits to Bhim Tal, Sat Tal, Naukuchia Tal, the serene Snow Point, the charming Thandi Sadak, enjoy a cable car ride, and stroll along the vibrant Mall Road (please note that Mall Road sightseeing is not included). Later, return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at your leisure. Day 7: Nainital to Delhi Drop (9hrs.)
Delhi. The journey continues by road after breakfast. Upon reaching Delhi, you will be transferred to your designated location or accommodation. If you have any specific requirements or if there's anything else you'd like assistance with, feel free to let me know!
